How to Create the Bee Mine Arrow Border Layout

Scrapbook papers and embellishments have personalities, and Bee Mine is energizing! If you’ve been feeling a little rundown after the hustle and bustle of the holidays, get your hands on the Bee Mine collection and you’ll feel ready to create an entire album. When Melissa designed this fun Arrow Border Layout, I had to give it a try. I loved the way that she used three different colours of cardstock behind each arrow in the border design.

Bee Mine Borders

Bee-Mine-Borders

A little bit retro, and a whole lot of bright, colourful fun. That’s how I’d describe the new Bee Mine collection. Pair it with the new Daisy Bouquet Punch and the Arrow Border Maker Cartridge and you’ve got a party!

I had so much fun playing with the bright colours and patterns on this super cold and gray Minnesota winter day. It’s great therapy for the winter blues. Give it a try! You’ll be smiling in no time.

Imagine Then & Now Family Fun Book

Imagine-Then-Now-Family-Fun-Book-Creative-Memories

Imagine. Love. Dreams. Wish. Family. Moments.

The words in the Imagine Laser Cut Embellishments speak to me. They make me want to gather my family close and reminisce over photos and memories, old and new.

Poring over a bunch of old, seemingly random photos the other day got me thinking about how connected everything in my life really is. The circle of life and all that. How fun would it be to create a little coffee table book, connecting the old with the new, Then and Now? What if I could pull it out when the family is gathered and journal memories in it as the photos are talked about and stories are remembered?

Love Bug Mix & Match Layout

Who is your love bug?  Maybe it might be your husband, your child, your niece or nephew, your grandchild….. whoever it is, this is the perfect layout to add their photos to.

Document the reasons why they are your “Love Bug”.  Trust me, it will make them feel loved beyond measure!

Creating a simple, yet embellished layout does not have to be a lot of work.  Cut several strips of paper the same length and width, and then a few flowers at the end of each and you are golden.

Love Your Life

Isn’t life beautiful?

There are so many days that I just have to step back and remind myself how beautiful this life we live really is.  Take a deep breath, and take in all the sights, sounds, smells, and people around me.

By snapping a few photos of these things, is a wonderful reminder to LOVE LIFE!  Today I challenge you to snap at least two photos of the things that will remind you to do this. Once you have these photos, add them to a layout! Throw a few flowers on there for the beauty-factor!

Happy Mother’s Day Mom!

My Mom is the centre of our family and we all love to spend time with her, whether it be a special dinner, shopping, cottage time, travel, out to dinner, a walk and or just having a cup of coffee together.  She treasures each and every one of her grandchildren as they treasure her.  Mother’s Day is a day to make her feel as special as she does with all of us.

I try to take as many photos of my children and my brother’s children with her as these will always be treasured memories.  Not just on Mother’s Day is it important to snap those photos, but all through the year.
